About the Toolkit

Have you ever thought it would be useful to find out how other professionals are supporting disabled children and young people's participation?

We know that it can be difficult to quickly identify and locate information to support your work with disabled young people, which is why we developed this online database. This database will help you find resources and practice examples to support your work with disabled young people.

What does the database contain?

The resources have been reviewed by practitioners, and include details on how the resource has been used with disabled young people, young people's feedback and how to get hold of the resource or more information.

The resources section of the database includes details of training, events, toolkits, books, articles, CDs, DVDs, fact sheets, charters, case studies, cartoons, software, evaluation reports and websites/links produced by any organisation providing services for disabled children and young people.

The practice section of the database also contains practice examples capturing ideas and stories of practice with disabled children and young people to involve them in decision-making, participation activities and developing services. This could give you ideas or inspire you to work in different ways with disabled children and young people.

You can use the left hand menus to find to search the database, submit your resources, submit your practice and find out more information about the database.
